Day 1: Leh

Welcome to Leh airport, where you will be met and assisted by your driver who will transfer you to your hotel. You have rest of the day at leisure to acclimatize. Overnight stay in Leh.

After breakfast visit Shey Palace – used to be the summer retreat of the royal family of Ladakh, Rancho School – also known as Druk White Lotus school, Thiksey monastery, Hemis Gompa – a Himalayan Buddhist monastery which is believed to be the wealthiest and the biggest monastery in Leh and Shanti Stupa – built by the Japanese monks to promote world peace. Overnight in Leh.

After breakfast, proceed to Nubra Valley via Khardung La – the world’s highest motorable pass. Nubra valley – the Shyok River meets the Siachen River to form this large valley separating the Ladakh and Karakoram ranges. Upon arrival visit Diskit monastery  oldest and largest Buddhist monastery in Nubra valley. Maitreya Buddha Statue and Later visit Hunder Village and Cold desert – the only place in India where twin humped camels are found. Overnight in Nubra Valley

After breakfast, proceed to Pangong Tso (via Shyok Route), also known as Pangong Lake – one of the world’s highest saltwater lakes. The most notable feature of this lake are its ever-changing hues. The lake acts as an important breeding ground for a large variety of migratory birds like Brahmani Ducks, Rare black necked cranes and Seagulls. Later proceed to Leh via Changla pass, one of the highest motor-able road in the world. The name Changla pass literally means “Northern Pass” (Chang means north and La Means Pass). Overnight in Leh.

After breakfast, visit Hall of Fame War Museum – a museum constructed by the Indian Army in memory of the brave Indian soldiers who laid down their lives defending the motherland in the Indo-Pak wars, Spituk monastery, Patthar Sahib Gurudwara – a beautiful Gurudwara sahib constructed in the memory of Guru Nanak, Magnetic Hill – also known as Gravity Hill where vehicles defy the force of gravity, Sangam of the rivers Indus & Zanskar – two of Himalaya’s great rivers; Zanskar and Indus merge to form a spectacular view. You can end the day by visiting Hall of Fame Museum to witness Sound and Light show (Entrance fee on direct payment basis) . Overnight in Leh.

2. Magical Ladakh

Day 1: Arrival Leh

Arrival  to Leh 11800 ft the capital of Ladakh. On arrival at Kushok Bakula Rinpoche (KBR) Airport transfer to Hotel 3 kms/ 10 min and full day at rest for high altitude acclimatization which is must to settle yourself to the high altitudes of Ladakh  late afternoon  visit to shanti stupa & The leh  Palace Overnight at the Hotel.

After breakfast you drive downstream along the River Indus on Leh – Kargil Highway. And start our sightseeing with Hall Of Fame (Museum Constructed by India Army) near Leh is worth a visit for every Indian, and proceed further to Gurudwara Patthar Sahib at an altitude of 3600 Mtrs about 22 Kms from Leh was constructed in memory of Guru Nanak Dev ji Nestled deep in the Himalayas, A drive of another 4 km took us to Magnetic Hill which defies the law of gravity. As you move ahead from Magnetic Hills, just before Nimmu Village, there comes a famous Confluence Of Two Rivers Indus River coming from Tibet (left) and Zanskar River coming from Zanskar Valley (right). After visiting confluence we head to Alchi Gompa, The complex of temples located within the village is the most celebrated of Ladakh’s monasteries and dates back to the 11th century. After visiting Alchi we back towards lehenroute visiting Likir Monastery was built in 11th century and was again re-built in 18th century and houses a 25 feet Lord gold covered Buddha Statue. Later we drive back to Leh. 

Post breakfast we drive to Nubra Valley. The road journey from Leh to Nubra Valley passes over Khardung La (The Highest Motorable Road In The World) at 5,602 Mtrs / 18,390 Ft, around 39 km from Leh. From the pass, one can see all the way south over the Indus valley to seemingly endless peaks and ridges of the Zanskar range, and north to the giants of the Saser massif. Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldumra or the valley of flowers. It is situated in the north of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. The average altitude of the valley is 10,000 Ft. above sea level.

Upon arrival in Nubra we check in at our Camp / Hotel in Hunder for Overnight stay. In the evening you can walk around the tiny villages to see how the locals live in this part of the world. A visit to a Ladakhi home can be arranged. Overnight Stay at the Camp or Hotel.

After an early breakfast we check out from Camp or hotel and drive towards Hunder where you have opportunity to ride on a bacterian camel (double humped) amidst the sand dunes of this high altitude desert with snowcapped mountains on the horizon. On the return stop at Diskit which is the headquarter town of Nubra Valley. Stroll around the bazaar observing the shops and local people going about their daily chores. Later we drive towards Pangong Tsovia Agham&Shyok Valley. Some of the road patches in areas are extremely tough (towards nubra side) in terms of road conditions but no doubt the journey is very scenic!  Later after crossing this adventurous part we drive further towards Durbuk&Tangtse for Pangong you pass through few small villages of Changthang and finally you can have a sudden view of the Pangong lake situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 m). Upon arrival we check in at our Camp/Hotel Near Pangong lake (Spangmik Village).

Morning at leisure to explore the beauty of lake and later we drive back to Leh via Changla Pass 5486 Mtrsenroute visiting Hemis Gompa, the largest monastic foundation of Drukpa Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism. And futher to Thiksey an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village and another 5 Kms driving through a picturesque landscape we reach to Shey Palace, The ancient capital of Ladakh &3 Idiots Rancho School. Drive further to Leh.

Complete day at leisure to explore the destination on your own and In the evening you can stroll around the market place for some last minute souvenir shopping.

3. Discovering Ladakh wih Kargil

Day 1: Arrive at Leh

Arrive at Leh Airport, our representative will meet and assist you and later you will be transfer to the hotel in Leh. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure to acclimatize to the high altitude of Ladakh. In the evening you may take a walk to the local market but we highly recommend to give complete rest to the body. Overnight at the hotel in Leh.

Today morning after breakfast, walk through the Old town of Leh. In the pages of history, the ancient capital of Leh, bookmarks one of the greatest cross-cultural crusades of its time. We have mapped out a trajectory that shadows time, seeking out all that it left behind. This historical trail traces revered palaces and forgotten forts, it visits the quiet courtyards of ancient museums and cafes rooted in romanticism all of it, illustrating history that once existed on a grand scale!. In the afternoon visit Zorawar Fort, Leh Palace and Shanti Stupa. Evening time is at leisure to walk around the Leh Market. Overnight at the hotel in Leh.

Today morning after breakfast, drive to Kargil on Leh Srinagar highway which is our National Highway number 01. After short drive make a stopover at Ladakh Hall of Fame which is a glorious museum constructed by the Indian Army. You can see the memorabilia, eminent defence personalities with biographies, images and weapons used during the Kargil and other key strategic battles fought in Ladakh. Drive to about 20kms and reach Gurdwara Patthar sahib, built in the everlasting memory of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji the great prophet who sanctified the place by his sacred visit during the year 1517 while on his second missionary tour (2nd Udassi 1515-1518). Just a little ahead make another stop at Magnetic Hill. It has been noticed that when a vehicle is parked on neutral gear on this metallic road the vehicle slides up-hill, defying the law of gravity. That’s the Believe it or not of Ladakh. On way just before Nimu village one can have this magnificent view of two rivers in wed-lock! The meeting point or Sangam of Indus and Zanskar rivers. In different seasons they have different colours and flow and wildness. Continue your drive to Kargil. Visit Kargil War Memorial, another Army museum dedicated to Kargil war. On arrival in Kargil check-in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Kargil.

Today morning after breakfast, drive to Leh en-route visit Mulbek a giant Buddha Sculpture on Rock Mountain, Lamayuru, the oldest Monastery of Ladakh and watch the spectacular Moon like landscape unfold around you as you reach the Lamayuru monastery. Nurla / Saspol Village (On Your Own), Later continue your drive to Leh, en-route visit Alchi Choskor which is known for its 1100yrs old Buddhastatues painted with precious stone colours. Few km ahead make a detour to Likir village to make a stopover at Likir monastery to see the 75ft Tall Maitriya Buddha Statue. On arrival in Leh check-in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Leh.

Today morning after breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla (Highest Motorable road in the world, 18,380ft). On the way visit Desert Himalaya Adventure Park where you can have lunch and enjoy adventure activities like World’s longest High Altitude Zip line and ATV ride at Khalsar sand dunes (On your own). Continue your drive to Nubra. On-arrival at Nubra check-in at the hotel/camp. Later visit 108ft high Maitriya Buddha Statue at Diskit monastery and Hunder Sand Dunes where you can enjoy double humped camel ride (On your Own). Return back to the hotel/ camp. Overnight at the hotel/ camp in Nubra.

Today morning after breakfast, drive to Pangong Lake (14,500ft) through the Shayok River Valley. A beautiful drive of approx. 04hrs and you’ll be at one of the most beautiful places of the planet. On arrival check-in at the hotel/ camp. Later spend some time around the lake shore visit 03 Idiot shooting point, try local food at any of the small restaurant around the Lake shore. Afternoon is at leisure, enjoy the colour changing lake and the sun set on the banks of lake. Return back to the hotel/ camp. Overnight at the hotel/ camp in Pangong Lake.

Today early morning enjoy the picturesque view of Sun rise on lake. Post breakfast start your drive to Leh, this time crossing the mighty Changla pass at 17000ft. On the way visit Thiksey Monastery which is one of the largest and architecturally most impressive Gompas of Ladakh. There are several temples in this Gompas, containing images, stupas and wall paintings of Buddha, which are exquisite. Also visit Shey Palace on a hillock 15kms before Leh, it was once the residence of the royal family. A 7.5mts high copper statue of Buddha, plated with gold and the largest of its kind, is installed here. After visiting Shey Palace continue drive to Leh en-route two brief halts at Druk Pema Karpo School AKA Rancho’s School (03 Idiot fame) and Sindhu Ghaat where the annual Sindhu Darshan festival is held. Continue your drive to Leh. On arrival at Leh check-in at the hotel. Later you can just walk to Leh market for souvenir shopping (On Your Own). Overnight at the hotel in Leh. 

Today morning after breakfast, you will be transferred to Leh Airport to board your flight back home or to your next destination.

4. Amazing Ladakh

Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar (Height 1585m)

Upon your arrival in Srinagar, our associate will welcome you with a warm greeting. They will then escort you to your hotel or houseboat and help you with the check-in process. Once you are well-rested you can begin with your sightseeing tour in the city.

Begin with a calm and peaceful 2-hour Shikara ride in Dal Lake. This will relax you from all the travel you made earlier today. Also, the scenic snow-covered mountains will add to the experience of the ride.

Later, you can either go shopping at the bazaar or take a quiet walk at Boulevard Road. Srinagar is famous for its cashews, saffron and Kashmiri handicrafts (if you plan to go shopping).
Post this tiring day, return to your hotel and a night stay.

Today you will take a day tour of Pahalgam. So, after you finish your breakfast at the hotel leave for your excursion.

The first destination on your itinerary of Pahalgam is Betaab Valley. This valley has been made popular by Bollywood because many films have been shot in this valley. The valley is all about its scenic beauty and hence you will also be mesmerised by it.

Next up on your list is Sheshnag Lake. At this lake, you can just enjoy the silence and soothe yourself. Dipping your feet in the freezing cold water is also an experience you can have.
This brings you to the end of your excursion, head back to your hotel in Srinagar and some good night’s sleep.

Time for yet another excursion. This time to Gulmarg. In Gulmarg, kickstart your sightseeing tour with a Gondola ride. This ride gives you an up-close view of the snow-capped mountains you see around you. It is the second-longest and second-highest cable car ride in the world.

Your next activity in Gulmarg is skiing. The terrain of Gulmarg is suitable for both amateur and professional skiers and hence skiing is a very famous adventure to experience in Gulmarg.

After this fun-filled day, head back to your hotel in Srinagar and overnight stay.

Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel. Today you will be travelling to Kargil via Sonamarg. So, as soon as you finish with your breakfast, leave for your road trip.

Sonamarg is known as the “meadow of gold”. The snow-covered mountains of Sonamarg are a beautiful sight to witness. In Sonamarg, you will visit Vishansar Lake, take a drive around the Zoji La Pass and also take a halt at the Shutkari Bridge.

Later, you will continue your road trip to Kargil. On the way to Kargil will fall Drass Valley. This is the place where the Kargil war took place and this is the exact location where the Pakistani Army had dropped shells.

Post that to enter Kargil there will be a passport check, after which you will enter Kargil. Upon your arrival at your hotel in Kargil, complete your check-in process and take some rest and a night stay.

Today you will leave for Leh from Kargil via Lamayuru. So, after you finish your breakfast, start your road journey.

In Lamayuru, you will visit the Alchi Monastery and Moonland. The architecture of the monastery will impress you and that’s what makes it a must-visit.

Moonland is a landscape that you can admire on the way to Kargil.

Once you reach your hotel in Leh, complete your check-in process for a night stay at the hotel

Begin your day with a healthy breakfast at the hotel and then head out for a sightseeing tour of Leh.

The first destination you will visit in the city is Diskit Gompa or also known as Diskit Monastery. The gompa is the oldest and largest in the region. It is located on a slope of a mountain and hence it overlooks the snow-covered mountain peaks of the Himalayan ranges and also offers the view of the Shayok River.

Your next destination is Shanti Stupa. It is famous for its white dome and holds the relics of Buddha. The architecture of the stupa is what will attract your further.

The next destination on your list is the Leh Palace. It is known as ‘Lhachen Palkhar’ and was constructed in the 17th-century. It houses a museum too.

In the evening, return to your hotel and overnight stay.

After early morning breakfast at the hotel, you will leave for Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass.
At Khardungla, which is the highest motorable road you can enjoy the beautiful view of the surrounding mountain ranges and also experience a camel ride. The snow-covered mountain peaks make of the perfect backdrop, so do not forget to click some memorable pictures. Spend some time at the pass and then continue your road trip to Nubra Valley.

Once you arrive in Nubra Valley check in to your hotel and take some rest before you leave for your sightseeing tour.

The first attraction point in the valley is actually an adventure ride of the two-humped Bactrian Camel. This ride is at Hunder village so apart from the camel ride you can also explore the village and interact with the locals.

Then you can visit the Panamik Hot Springs. These springs have medicinal properties and hence many tourists from over the world come to visit this destination.

After this fun-filled day, head back to your hotel and overnight stay.

After breakfast at the hotel in Nubra Valley, you will take a road trip to Pangong via Shayok River.
The highlight of the Shayok river is that its water is crystal clear. It feels like you can see right through it. The water is so clear because it originates from the high altitudes of Rimo Glacier.

Later, continue your road trip to Pangong Lake. Here you will experience camping, so once you reach your campsite, get settled in and take some rest. The evening will be your leisure time. Spend time at the lake, take an evening walk and explore the surroundings if you like and overnight stay.

Time for yet another road trip and your last one on your Magical Ladakh tour with Kashmir, so make the most of it. Click some beautiful pictures of the journey too, if you wish. Leave for the journey as soon as you finish your breakfast at the hotel. Once you reach your hotel in Leh, complete the check-in formalities and then begin your sightseeing tour.

If you do not want to go sightseeing, you can also enjoy your free time for the day and visit the local bazaar. If you wish to visit some sightseeing attractions then you can visit the 3 Idiots School and Thiksey Monastery.

At night return to the hotel  and over night stay.
